Pain in your feet, ankles or legs?
Look no further.

My name is Jeremy Ousey and I am the podiatrist at Keep On Your Feet. I specialise in foot, ankle and lower limb musculoskeletal pain, so if you have ended up here, then I am the guy you need to see.

The most common conditions I see at Keep On Your Feet are Achilles tendonitisplantar fasciitis and Morton's neuroma. This being said, there aren't many things that I haven't seen.

I offer a large variety of treatments, including shockwave therapy, steroid injections and a variety of insoles and orthotics. I also offer rehabilitation programs and can do ultrasound scans, where this is appropriate.

Services

Keep On Your Feet aims to be your go-to solution for all your foot, ankle and lower limb related issues. I provide comprehensive services including advanced diagnostics, gait analysis, shockwave therapy, and steroid injections, along with traditional podiatric treatments such as insoles, orthotics, and exercise recommendations.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

The foot's structures can be easily viewed with ultrasound, and as a result I am able to offer quick, in-house diagnostic imaging for a variety of issues.

Gait Analysis

Watching you walk or run is sometimes the most functional way to identify what is causing your pain. By seeing what your feet, ankles, knees and body are doing in real time, I can get the answers to your problems.

Steroid Injections

By injecting a mixture of steroid and local anaesthetic into the problem area(s), a rapid solution for pain is available. These injections can also be diagnostic as the use of anaesthetic numbs the problem area: helping to identify if more than one structure is involved.

Insoles & Orthotics

These are items which go inside of your shoes and change how your foot interacts with the ground. They can provide shock absorption, support and redirect your foot from doing the movements that cause it pain.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy uses sound waves to stimulate the body to start healing itself. It is a fantastic way to promote the body's natural healing abilities and it is a safe and powerful way to start the healing process in chronically painful areas.

Exercises & Rehabilitation

These are (arguably) the most important part of a lot of treatment plans, but I can only tell you what to do. It is up to you to do the exercises. I try to keep the exercises simple and I always limit the number I give, so that you can focus on the ones that give the most bang for your buck.

Do you like what I have to offer?

Where do we start?

Initial Consultation

First, I listen to your concerns and examine the problem areas by poking, prodding, and wiggling them.

I may also observe you standing, walking, or on a treadmill.

I'll provide a diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan.

What if you need a specialist treatment?

Treatments like shockwave therapy and steroid injections can really help clear symptoms quickly and, if time allows, can be offered at your first appointment.

It can sometimes be important for you to have an opportunity to think about the treatments offered, and so you might be encouraged to go away and think about your options. If this happens, you will be told when the earliest available opportunity is to start that treatment.

When should you start to notice an improvement?

The majority of conditions should respond quite quickly to treatment. As a general rule, a 40-50% improvement should be seen within 3-6 weeks of beginning treatments (as long as you follow the plan).

Of course, this can never be guaranteed, but if you have not had decent improvements within 6 weeks, I generally like to revisit the diagnosis and re-vamp the treatment plan.

How much does it cost to see me?

Going private can seem quite scary as the costs can mount up, so you'll find the prices below.

In general, if you have a condition like plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis, you will need a minimum of a first appointment and a follow up 2-6 weeks after - a total cost of £160.

If you have had symptoms for more than 3 months, then shockwave is normally a powerful adjunct to ease your symptoms. This would make the total cost £340 (including a follow-up appointment 6 weeks after your third session of shockwave).

General Appointments Pricing

First Appointment - £95

Includes: history taking, diagnosis, treatment planning, exercise prescriptions, footwear advice, basic insole customised for you.

Follow-up (General)- £65

Includes: Tracking your progress, updating treatment plans, modifying previous insole, modifying exercise programmes, casting/scanning for bespoke orthotics.

Specialist Follow-Up Appointments Pricing

Shockwave Package (3 sessions)- £180

Shockwave is a really powerful treatment that helps to speed up the healing process in patients with certain bone and soft tissue problems, such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis and tibialis posterior tendinitis. It is best when offered as a package of three sessions, offered 1-2 weeks apart and done as part of a treatment program.

Steroid Injection - £120-180

Steroid injections act as a powerful anti-inflammatory delivered directly to the area that it's needed in. The injection is usually anatomy guided (£120) but in complex cases, ultrasound guidance may be required (£180). These are not suitable for everybody, and may be offered as part of an initial consultation or they may require a separate appointment, depending on a number of factors.

Insoles & Orthotics - £30, £70, £250-350

A basic insole customised to your needs may be issued in your initial consultation, and further pairs of these are £30 each. If your foot requires more support or has more complex needs, the next level of insole/orthotic offered is £70 and this will be a modular device customised to your needs.

Once the optimum prescription has been identified for you, it may then be worthwhile looking at a custom made orthotic that will prevent future issues (although this is not often necessary). These can vary in price, but generally they range from £250-£350 depending on the complexity of the device and the materials used.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Any clinician who offers you a guarantee has either more confidence than sense or has not treated enough complicated cases to know better. As a result, I cannot offer you guaranteed satisfaction, but you can be certain that you'll get an excellent standard of care.
